Thistle kits through the years
1975 to 1983
From the mid 1970's we see a start of more frequent changes to the playing kits, and the stripes take over from hoops. Plus the first dodgy coloured away kit!
1972-75 (a): The new away kit is a simple reversal of colours.
1975-76: Thistle introduce red and yellow stripes for the first time.
1976-77: Just a slight change with a little less black in the collar.
1977-79 (h): The Umbro manufactured kit, with v-neck and badge moved to centre.
1977-79 (a) The away version of the Umbro kit is a light blue and yellow colour.
1979-83 (h) No change to the overall design, just a slight change to the collar.
